Week 6: Disney's Prom!

On Thursday night, I went with a group of girls to see the midnight premiere of Disney's newest movie called 'Prom'. Beforehand, we all went to Wal-Mart and bought tiaras, diamond rings, cheesy sunglasses, and even princess wands from the dollar section. I wore a ribbon that said "Party Animal" and we were ready to go! The movie was very predictable and cheesy; however, it did get us very excited about the event that will be taking place one week from today. We took lots of pictures and acted like crazy teenage girls the entire night. My favorite quote from the movie goes like this... "Prom is like the Olympics of high school. You wait four years, three people have a good time, and everybody else gets to live on with shattered dreams." All of the seniors in the movie had different situations for the way they got asked to prom. They had the perfect couple that had been dating since middle school, the dorky boy that asked every single girl in the whole school only to get rejected time after time, and the girl that was asked by her dream boy if she wanted to car pool. It was quite hilarious relating each situation to a couple at our school. When the sophomore boy climbed up the tree and claimed his "love" for this beautiful girl named Simone, you were reminded of the absolute stupidity of the boys in high school. Our actual prom night will be one memorable event. Nobody cares if you can dance well, just get out and dance. Prom will not be the end, but simply the beginning for the best is yet to come.
